‘Alice Rocks' is unique among properties in the region. You will have easy access to both the Red River Gorge and Cave Run Lake. In addition, you can venture next door into the 235 acre ‘Alice Rocks Nature Preserve’. Our cottage sits on the edg...e of Frenchburg, KY which means easy access on paved roads and nearby amenities of a town. Few locations can provide the combination of convenience, and a wild natural experience. You could enjoy an entire stay without even getting back into your car! - The Alice Rocks property is adjacent to the Alice Rocks Nature Preserve. The Preserve comprises +/-250 acres of amazing natural area with miles of hiking trails and amazing cliff line. Access to the Alice Rocks Nature Preserve is by permit only and permission can be obtained through their website. Arrangements to visit must be made in advance. - Alice Rocks is pet friendly however pet fee of $100 does not show in total balance. We have a $100 pet fee that covers up to 2 dogs. Please contact directly after booking to add this $100 fee. - Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, WiFi, smart TV, gas grill, fire pit, picnic tables, fun outdoor games, and more! - Bedroom 1: Queen Bed | Bedroom 2: Queen Bed | Bedroom 3: Queen Bunk Bed (2 beds) - 4 queen beds total - Bathroom 1: Full bathroom - Fresh linens and towels. We also include essential starter packs to make your stay easier! (Starter packs include: 2 rolls of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towels, 3 dishwasher pods, 3 laundry pods, shampoo and conditioner, bar soap, 3 trash bags, and 1 sponge.) You will also need to bring your own firewood. Please purchase firewood locally! - Easy access to cabin and no AWD/4WD necessary. - Trailer parking is available next to the cottage but does require some maneuvering. - Gravel parking for 3-4 standard vehicles on site - Short walk to Family Dollar store for anything you might need during your stay - Perfect location for exploring both Cave Run Lake and Red River Gorge! Rock climbing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, SUP, fishing, zip lines, restaurants, sight-seeing, and much more can be found nearby. - Popular attractions in Red River Gorge such as Natural Bridge State Park, Nada Tunnel, The Gorge Underground, Miguel's Pizza and more are less than a 40-minute drive away! The popular Long Bow Boat Dock in Cave Run Lake is only a 15-minute drive away!
