This hom...e is located on the ridge line in the amazing Eagles Nest Community in Banner Elk NC and blends elegant mountain living with modern convenience and amenities. You'll enjoy spectacular long range mountain views in this new home. The Phoenix enjoys one of the larger lots in the Eagles Nest community sitting on 4.5 acres. Whether you are coming for the peaceful atmosphere of the Eagles Nest Community or the excitement of nearby outdoor activities such as skiing, whitewater rafting and hiking, The Phoenix offers it all. Inside you'll enjoy an updated design, open-concept layout, stunning views and exciting amenities like a dry sauna, game tables, big-screen TVs, 4 master suites each with King beds plus a bunk room for the kids, four fireplaces, a covered porch and an outdoor hot tub. Great Room There's so much to catch your eye inside the great room: a wall of large windows with long range mountain views, a stacked stone fireplace, a big screen TV, and an antler chandelier overhead. All of these provide a modern mountain feel that you'll love coming home to after a big day out. Relax on one of the cabin's comfy leather sofas while enjoying the wood burning fireplace or simply enjoy a glass of wine while gazing out the windows at the rolling mountains beyond. Kitchen The gourmet kitchen includes custom cabinets and an amazing island with granite - perfect for large family meals buffet style. The kitchen opens to the dining area and great room so that the whole group can have fun while cooking or eating. Enjoy the 48” gas range with custom reclaimed wood hood and commercial style appliances. Dining Room Large windows at the dining area allow you to enjoy the natural light and mountain view while dining. The large natural wood table comfortably seats 10 and additional seating for 4 more can be found at the large island. During the warmer months, you can also enjoy the outdoor dining table. Bedrooms For 20 guests, you'll need plenty of sleeping options, and The Phoenix delivers with 5 bedrooms and 5 ½ bathrooms. Sleeping Accommodations Master Bedroom: The master is on main level and has a king bed with luxury mattress and linens and a 50" TV which competes with the amazing views from this room. The master bathroom features a double shower and a beautiful standing tub. Lower level: Downstairs you'll find a bunkroom with two sets of full-over-full bunks and one twin-over-twin bunks sleeping up to 10 in this room, with its own bathroom with a trough sink and tub/shower. Also downstairs you will find two more king suites each with a luxury mattress, amazing views, and 50” TV. One of the King suites has a special treat with an infrared sauna. Bonus Room: Tucked away above the garage is a large bedroom with a King bed and 2 full beds, private seating area, a 55” TV and full bathroom. This is a great quiet space for families to have some privacy or for little ones to be able to nap away from all the action. Loft and Game Room: Should you need additional accomodations, there is a Queen- sized pull-out couch available in the loft area and in the game room (2 total). Game Room The basement game room is set up for ultimate fun with a pool table, shuffleboard, and space to play your favorite board or card games. Enjoy one of the games at the cabin or bring your own! The game room also features a 65” big screen TV mounted to the gas fireplace with cable television and an incredible surround sound system. Of course, there are great long range mountain views (all the way to Mt Mitchell on a clear day!) through the large windows along the entire back wall. The custom wet bar conveniently located next to the pool table offers a, mini fridge/wine cooler, and sink. Outdoor Spaces So many features make The Phoenix memorable, but the outdoor spaces are the best. Stretch your legs, refresh your mind and breathe in the crisp mountain air. Enjoy the large 4.5 acre lot. The house is southern-facing so you can enjoy the warm sun on the full length deck or sit under the covered porch on the comfy outdoor seating while watching the game on the 55” TV! At this elevation it gets chilly most nights, even in the summer, so you can use the outdoor wood burning fireplace on the main level year round. When it rains, you'll stay dry while you enjoy the fire and listen to the rainfall. Walk down stairs to soak away your stress in the 8-person hot tub with a beautiful view of the mountains, nestled next to a gas fireplace. *The Phoenix includes high speed internet, home stereo system, pool table, shuffleboard, poker table, outdoor hot tub, infrared sauna, four fireplaces and nine big screen televisions including streaming services such as Netflix, Disney Plus and Amazon Prime Video. This cabin also offers a two refrigerators, a washer and dryer, gas grill and an icemaker. While enjoying your stay at this home, you have access to most amenities in the Eagles Nest community. Amenities available to you include: Great Camp: Epic Chophouse - available to renters without membership BBQ Pavilion Amphitheater (location of summer concerts from May to the end of November) The Great Lawn Playground Hiking Trails Ropes Course and Climbing Tower (seasonal) Mini-Golf Course 24/7 General Store North Pavilion: Sportsman's Lodge (unlocked portion only) Sports Court (Basketball and Pickleball) Dog Park Walking Trail Sportsman's Grille (Wed-Sun. Vineyard: Food and Wine served Eagles Nest Winery day passes are available onsite for $25.00 each HOURS: Thur & Fri 4p-10p; Sat 2p-10p; Sun 2p-8p. (Please verify hours directly with the winery, as times may vary seasonally.) Please note that all visitors on premises at the Winery must be 16 years or older, with the exception of Sundays. This is strictly enforced. Guests do not have access to the locked-off portion of the Sportsman's Lodge, the Fitness Center, or the Wine & Cigar Bar. That is for member use only. Additional Notes: - Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night. - This home is not pet friendly. Please do not bring pets to this home. Thank you in advance for not requesting an exception to this rule. - Guests are responsible for supplying their own recreational equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, tennis equipment etc.) - The summer concerts are open to all guests however there is an admission fee for each person and cash bar for food and drinks. - The main roads are plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months. We are happy to help you find the home with the access you are most comfortable with, any time of year! - Please be advised that private ATVs are not permitted in the community and will be denied entry at the gates. - All linens and towels provided. - All Eagles Nest homes have an additional amenity fee in order to maintain the luxurious amenities - Security Cameras are in place outside of the home only. 2 ring cameras at each front door, two cameras on the corner of the garage monitoring the upper and lower driveway, one camera on the deck monitoring the yard, and a camera on the corner of the front of the house monitoring the perimeter. - Please note that the community of Eagles Nest has construction going on. Due to how sound travels, during weekdays you may hear heavy vehicles traveling on the development's roads, including at the neighboring lots. - Please note that all Eagles Nest homes have internet, but some areas of travel may not have cell reception. - Guests returning to The Phoenix at Eagles Nest, or who formerly stayed at Overlook Lodge at Eagles Nest, may receive a discount of 10% to the room rent, not to be combined with other discounts. - The garage is maintained as a storage space for home owners and will not be available for guest use. - Please note that the distances shown on VRBO's map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations. Bookings canceled at least 60 days before the start of the stay will receive 100% refund. Cancellations within 60 days of arrival will only be refunded if the property is rebooked. *A Note Regarding Parties: No Parties or events whatsoever. If you are planning on entertaining unbooked guests or drinking excessive spirits, this is not the property for you. We maintain high standards for the families and business groups we aim to attract, and traffic to our property is monitored by a neighborhood liaison daily.
