Located at almost 2,400 feet in elevation, Skyline Escape offers everything you're looking for in a secluded mountain hideaway. The main level fe...atures a cozy living room with a wall of windows overlooking the amazing views, tongue & groove ceilings, a gas log fireplace with TV over it, and comfortable furniture arranged around the room. Prepare dinner in the well-equipped kitchen, which has granite counters and stainless steel appliances including a gas 4-burner stove with griddle. There's room for 6 people at the dining table and 2 more at the eat-in bar in the kitchen. Time for bed? Skyline Escape offers three bedrooms over two levels. On the main level off the great room is a room with a King bed, ceiling fan, and TV. To the side of the King bedroom is a secondary sleeping area with a twin daybed and trundle, and a cozy little gathering area with a TV and loveseat and door leading outside to the firepit area. There's also a second bedroom with two sets of twin-over-twin bunk beds and a cute little reading nook for kiddos. These two bedrooms share the full bath in the hallway with an oversized tile shower and granite-topped vanity. Upstairs is a Queen suite with ceiling fan, window AC, and TV and its own private bathroom with tiled shower. Also upstairs is a loft with a little workstation. Sleeping Accommodations: This home has 2 bedrooms and 2 additional private sleeping area. Main Level: Primary King Room, Two Twin/Twin Bunks Room, and a twin daybed & trundle private sleeping area off the King room Upper Level: Queen private sleeping area Outside, the grounds offer so much to enjoy. The homeowners have taken care to provide all the fun you could ask for in a quiet mountain hideout! There's a huge in-ground stone firepit surrounded by Adirondack chairs, and off the side of the parking area is a games shed with an outside swing facing the beautiful mountain views, a dartboard, and outdoor games including horseshoes, cornhole, and ladder ball. Have a cookout with the charcoal grill. Kick back and soak in the big views from the hot tub, too. Hawks soaring on the air currents flowing in the valley below the house are an incredible show! Skyline Escape is on a 5 acre lot in a gated community so the privacy and seclusion here is unmatched. Skyline Escape is nestled in the valley of the woods south of the Blue Ridge Mountain Club. It's the perfect getaway spot for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle, get away from it all, and let the timeless magic of the mountains refresh and renew them. - Blowing Rock is a 35-40 minute drive - Boone is a 40-50 minute drive - Lenoir is 40-45 minutes' drive - Leatherwood is 20-25 minutes' drive - Wilkesboro is 50-55 minutes' drive - Appalachian Ski Mountain 35-45 minute drive - Tweetsie Railroad is a 35-40 minute drive IMPORTANT NOTES: - Take into consideration that the house is located at least 30 minutes from the nearest grocery store. We recommend stopping at the store before checking in at the house! - This home is accessed by a steep gravel road. 4WD or AWD vehicles with good tires are required year-round, and during winter months chains may also be necessary during inclement weather. - Internet is provided through Starlink and averages around 100mbps upload speeds. Depending on your carrier, your cell phone may or may not work in this location until Wi-Fi Calling is enabled on your device. - There is one camera on the property aimed towards the driveway. No cameras monitor other gathering places outside or inside the home. - All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. - Firewood for the outside firepit may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax per night. - Towels and linens will be provided for you. - This home is ABSOLUTELY NOT PET FRIENDLY for any reason, with no exceptions as outlined above. - Please note that the distances shown on VRBO's map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations. Please note that this property absolutely does not permit pets anywhere in or on the premises at any time including outdoor spaces. Bona fide service animals as prescribed by a medical professional may be permitted, and the presence of a service animal must be disclosed prior to check-in. Misrepresenting a pet as a service animal is a crime under North Carolina law. Guests who bring a pet to a no-pet home will be subject to a non-refundable $750 fee to reimburse the owner for wrongful use of their home as well as compensate for removing pet hair and dander and clean carpets and upholstery. If any pets are discovered during your tenancy including via security camera or observation of neighbors or BRMR staff, your credit card on file will be charged for the above-mentioned fee.
